RUNGIS CHALLENGE

The 6th Edition of the Rungis Challenge finale took place in September at Chaud Devant. This event is dedicated to gastronomy and organized by the International Market of Rungis.

This year the participants showed off their talents by creating sweet and savory tidbits that combined French and Réunionese specialties.

The candidates had to show their imagination as they combined products from the Bourbon Island with our gastronomical specialties to move the hearts of a jury composed of professionals, including the President of Rungis, Stéphane Layani and the culinary journalist Louise Petitrenaud.

We are proud of our chef Jonathan Fortier and his second in command Jeremy Navillat from the Campanile Hotel in Rungis, who won the challenge!

The finalist won a training with the creator of the 100%-fruit cake Atef Barbouche.

A beautiful moment of gastronomy, exchange and a source of pride for us!
