Carbon Footprint

LHG has launched the calculation of its carbon footprint, in particular its CO2 emissions linked to energy, but also to its purchases and supplies.

What is a carbon footprint?

According to WHO (World Heath Organisation), a carbon footprint is a measure of the impact your activities have on the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced through the burning of fossil fuels and is expressed as a weight of CO2 emissions produced in tonnes.

Why measure the carbon footprint of Louvre Hotels Group?

  • To anticipate new constraints and regulations
  • Prepare for changes in the price of energy and other resources
  • Reduce operating costs
  • Contribute to the fight against global warming
  • Adapt our commercial offer and meet our customers’ expectations

How Louvre Hotels Group will work?

  • Calculation methodology based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG)
  • Supported by the CSR expert agency Goodwill Management
  • Samples of hotels representative of the network in France, Germany and Poland
  • Objective: to draw up an inventory of our carbon consumption and obtain initial results by the end of December 2022, in order to then launch a policy to reduce carbon emissions

The data collection is launched for France, Germany, Poland and Spain.

Results expected by the end of 2022!
